Technology. There is no shortage of gizmos and gadgets out there to make our lives easier in some way, small or large. When I was asked to demo a few of these cool products for Verizon, I knew I wanted to. I was chosen to demo three Verizon products for “Back to School” for the duration of one month. Here is what they sent, and what I thought!
JBL by HARMAN | LINK 10 Voice activated portable speaker featuring Google Assistant
As a current Amazon/Alexa user…… getting to try out the Google Assistant with the JBL LINK 10 was a lot of fun! Set up was extremely easy and I was able to link my Spotify account right away, something I utilize EVERY SINGLE DAY. I am deeply music obsessed and focused. I’ll say that remembering to say “Hey, Google” or “OK Google” took some time. The ease of just having to say…. “Alexa” has clearly stuck with me. Once I got it down though, it works really well! My kiddo loves asking “Hey, Google…. play Eye of the Tiger.” Hahaha ok, that request was new this past week but oh so much fun! We have a whole dance montage video of some moves that he learned at school for that song. 😉 Really it’s just some strong fist in the air action and a few overly cute boxing moves. Love that boy! Anyway, the sound is good and usability has been good as well.
When it comes to portable chargers, Mophie is a brand that always comes to mind! We have a smaller one, and we’ve been extremely happy with it. Being able to use the Mophie Powerstation XL was a very nice upgrade over the last month, and I’m sold on the fact that I WILL need to purchase one for our family! Once a week I have a creative meeting with my best friend where we both use our laptops and phones consistently, and this power station XL has been a huge lifesaver when the wall plug is too far from our table or when I just want to charge my phone in a hurry or while out running errands!
If you have never heard of these, you should definitely look them up! You attach them to keys, bags, and it even adheres to flat surfaces. The setup was so easy, and it has helped me find my phone on more days than I can count. I keep my phone on silent, so you can imagine how hard it is to locate a vibrating phone when I ask my husband to call it! The Tile RINGS no matter what! Two small presses of my tile that I keep on my keys, and my phone plays a melody loud enough for me to locate fast! It’s just a really cool product and for as long as I’ve known about it, I never really understood how cool it was until I tried it out. AND I just found this pretty option!
*Thanks to Verizon for sending these products for Thefamilyof3 to demo! This is not a paid advertisement. The views expressed are completely authentic and offered simply in exchange for a one month in home demo.
Moms, how many of you feel like you would give anything to stop time when it comes to your babies? Our youngest, and most adorable best friend turned SIX yesterday!
Sometimes I can’t even breathe when I think about how fast time is flying, but just like any parent, we are soaking up and counting every second that we can! What better way to keep track of those precious seconds, than with this gorgeous wood watch by JORD? I have had some beautiful watches in my life, but none compare to the unique and elegant styling of this ( JORD Zebrawood & Maple Watch ) from the Fieldcrest series. So, even though we can’t actually STOP time, we CAN keep time, with this beautiful series of watches.
I’m so lucky to have been able to partner with JORD on a giveaway for $100 off of your very own unique wood timepiece! I know I’ll be wearing mine consistently throughout these next couple of seasons, especially with its’ lightweight design! And if you’re looking for the perfect gift for a ( guy or gal ) in your life, you have truly found it here with JORD!
On top of the gorgeous watch itself, the packaging is more special than anything I’ve ever seen! I’d say that the box is a gift in itself! You can even engrave the back of your watch with a special date, name, or quote to mark any occasion! They really have put so much care into their product, design, and packaging! Even if you don’t win, JORD will supply you with a discount code to shop anyway! Sweet deal!
I am going to call this one of my life highlights. A blip of time that shined for me and felt really special. I was a guest on a podcast. A podcast called ‘Breakfast with Sis’. Two of my favorite people run this fun podcast, and it was such an honor to be on with them! We started the morning with a photography session to capture this adorable father/daughter duo for promotional purposes and it was so much fun! Here is the first sneak peek!!!
Once we finished the photo session, we headed back in to Chick-fil-A (have I mentioned their intense love for the Chick?) and had our breakfast before recording the podcast. It was truly, SO much fun, and I would love for you to check it out when you can! It’s a perfect listen for a workout, drive to work, or anytime you can spare about 50 minutes 😉 I think I may have the ‘on air’ bug, because I really, REALLY want to do it again! Breakfast with Sis – episode 31 with @Thefamilyof3
Alli K Design is such an incredible artist and it has been a whirlwind few years for her! Watching her grow this business and see her success has been incredibly fun! You should follow along, because who doesn’t love florals?! 😉
In April, we traveled to the stunning island of Malta for both work and family vacation time. We first stayed in Valletta, where we explored for 3 days. We then visited the beautiful city of Birgu, and the island of Gozo to see the remains of the once “Azure Window” and the stunning Wied il Ghasri. We also visited the awesome Playmobil factory and fun park in the town of Birzebbuga. Parents of kiddos, this place is a MUST when visiting Malta!
We moved to Sliema for the remainder of our trip and stayed at the Palace Hotel (stunning views), and took small trips throughout the city and just beyond, while there. One of the more awe-inspiring destinations was Mdina, which is also known as the “Silent City” . We loved wandering through the quiet streets, spotting sites that were filmed for Game of Thrones, and just enjoying the architecture. Malta was rich in history, rich in kindness, and rich in beauty. We will definitely be back!
Malta. You know all about Malta, right? And you can totally find it on a map I bet!
I will be the first to admit that while I had definitely heard of it (that counts, right?) I honestly had no idea where Malta was or what Malta looked like! It wasn’t until months ago that I started doing research on this lovely little island, and I’m so glad I did. Did you know that they filmed Game of Thrones in Malta? More on that in a later blog…
This was D’s 2nd trip there in 2 months (lucky butt), and this time we were adamant about tagging along and extending his work trip, and extra thanks go out to his awesome Boss man for letting us make this work!!! We really enjoyed getting to spend some time as a group of 4, in between meetings, the first few days we were there.
Here are some of my favorite captures in the first few days while in the capital city of Valletta! And be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss the continuing series!
Hope you enjoyed a tiny look at our first couple of days in Valletta, Malta!
